WATCH: UK-born Mother, Daughters Buried Together in Israel; Victims of Hamas Terror Oct. 7

KFAR HARIF, Israel — Lianne Sharabi, 48, was buried Wednesday with her two daughters Noiya, 16, and Yahel, 13, in a remote cemetery in rural southern Israel. All three were murdered by Palestinian Hamas terrorists at Kibbutz Be’eri on October 7.

The father of the family, Eli, is still missing, and his brother Yosi is known to be among the hostages Hamas took to Gaza.

The Jewish Chronicle reported:

According to relatives, the Sharabi family were all sheltering in a safe room in their home when Hamas terrorists broke in on October 7.

Noiya’s mother Lianne sent panicked text messages to relatives when she heard gunshots outside their house. Hamas terrorists then broke into the house, smashing up furniture and killing their pet dog.

“She sent me a message saying; ”Nira, I can hear them. They are here at our house. They are shooting and shouting ”’Die Israel”. Please call for help”.

Friends and family, as well as neighbors from the kibbutz — a close-knit, communal farm — gathered to mourn together.

It was hardly their first funeral: 108 members of the community of 1,100 members were brutally murdered by Hamas. (Breitbart News visited the site on Sunday; dried blood was still on the floor of the homes, and bullet casings were scattered about the pathways.)

Many of the mourners were themselves survivors, who hid from terrorists — or fought them at close quarters — to survive.

Tributes were offered in both Hebrew and English. The family of Lianne, who was born in the United Kingdom, sent recorded eulogies.

Friends told the story of how Lianne moved to the kibbutz after falling in love with Eli, but stayed true to her British roots as well.

Friends of Noiya and Yahel delivered short speeches through their tears.

One of Eli Sharabi’s brothers said, in Hebrew: “Normally, at funerals, you start to pick up the pieces; we’re still in the middle of this.”

 

He continued: “But we are a strong nation, and a strong family.

“One thing our enemies don’t understand about us Jews: as much as you hurt us, we will continue to grow stronger.”
