Hillary Mocked by Anti-Islamists in Egypt

Hillary Clinton, in Alexandria to assert that the United States is even-handed in its approach to the warring parties in Egypt, was met by anti-Islamist protestors chanting “Monica, Monica.” The protestors suspect Clinton and Barack Obama of being Islamist sympathizers, and they apparently thought that they would humiliate Clinton with the chant.

Moreover, most Egyptian Coptic Christian leaders refused to meet Clinton because of what they termed the U.S. government’s “support for Islamism over other political and civil forces.”

Among the few leaders who did was one who accused the White House of being infiltrated by Islamists — and pointed to Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, Huma Abedin.

The protestors may have thought Clinton might be embarrassed by being referred to as an Islamist, or that they could humiliate Clinton by chanting a reminder of her philanderer husband, but they were wrong on both counts.

The Clintons have always been somewhat sympathetic to Islamist sympathizers. Bill Clinton lavishly praised Naqshabandi Sufi Imama Fethullah Gulen, the Turkish Imam and Islamist who fled Turkey for the U.S. after he tried to overthrow Turkey’s secular government. Hillary Clinton lifted the ban on Tariq Ramadan, who is the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood and has ties to Islamic terrorist groups.

Most tellingly, as the Coptic Christian alleged, is Hillary Clinton’s closeness to Huma Abedin. There have been rumors about the two for years, and there is compelling and frightening evidence that Abedin is a plant for the Islamists within the highest echelons of the United States.

If Hillary Clinton ever told the truth, no one would bother mocking her for being a wronged woman or an Islamist sympathizer, because the first is a joke and the second is a tautology.  Unfortunately for the anti-Islamist protestors, they were wasting their breath.
