Green on blue attacks continued last weekend as a a suicide bomber in Kandahar took the lives of two American intelligence officers.
The attack took place on Saturday, and two American officers associated with the CIA were killed, along with four Afghanistan intelligence officers. The bomber was also a member of Afghanistan’s intelligence agency.
One of the Americans was 24-year-old Spc. Brittany B. Gordon, the name of the second has not been released.
The number of green on blue attacks in Afghanistan was already above 50 for this year before this particular attack took place.
