Armenia protest leader Nikol Pashinyan released: TV images

Yerevan (AFP) – The leader of mass anti-government protests in Armenia was released on Monday, television images showed, following his detention after failed talks with Prime Minister Serzh Sarkisian.

Livestreamed images showed Nikol Pashinyan surrounded by his supporters flying Armenian flags in Yerevan, where he has led mass protests against ex-president Sarkisian, who was elected prime minister by lawmakers last week.
