Nov. 16 (UPI) — DeMar DeRozan dug into his bag of tricks for a smooth 360-degree lay-up during the San Antonio Spurs’ loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The soaring shot came in the third quarter of the Spurs’ 116-111 setback on Thursday at Staples Center in Los Angeles. San Antonio trailed 68-65 with 8:44 remaining in the frame when DeRozan caught a pass in transition while running the left flank.
He snagged the ball while crossing the 3-point line before taking one dribble. He then picked the ball up and went airborne over the paint, turning his body in a full rotation around a leaping Danilo Gallinari and laying the ball in off of the backboard.
DeRozan scored a game-high 34 points and had six rebounds and five assists in the loss. Lou Williams led the Clippers with 23 points.
The Spurs host the Golden State Warriors at 7 p.m. on Sunday at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
