French shipping group CMA CGM drops Iran over US sanctions threat: CEO

Aix-en-Provence (France) (AFP) – The world’s third largest shipping container firm CMA CGM has decided to withdraw from Iran due to the threat of US sanctions, its Chief Executive Rodolphe Saade said Saturday.

“Because of the Trump administration, we have decided to end our service to Iran,” he told an economic conference in Aix-en-Provence in southern France, explaining the French company’s decision.
