Israel police recommend Netanyahu corruption charge: reports

Jerusalem (AFP) – Police in Israel on Tuesday recommended after a probe that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be indicted in two cases of alleged corruption, media reported.

A decision to press formal charges against the long-serving premier now rests with the attorney general’s office.

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked has said that a prime minister who has been formally charged with offences is not obliged to resign.
