LOS ANGELES, Dec. 29 (UPI) — Nick Cannon has updated fans on social media regarding his health after having to spend Christmas in a hospital due to complications related to lupus.

“What’s good? I got so much love for y’all. Thank you so much. I’m still in this hospital but I’m about to get out up here, for real, and I’m letting you know we’re about to take it to a whole new level,” the America’s Got Talent host says in a video posted onto Instagram Wednesday from his hospital bed.

“I’ve just been sitting here, reflecting, and I can’t sit here dormant no more,” he continues before stating how he plans on taking his career “to a whole new level” once he is released with plans to work on more stand-up comedy specials, along with more film, music and television projects.

“Nietzsche said: ‘What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger.’ We all are stronger because we made it through 2016, and we’re gonna keep going. One love,” the 36-year-old concluded.

On Thursday, Cannon took to Instagram again to share that he had been released from the hospital, noting, “After 2 weeks and 5 blood transfusions…by his stripes I am healed!!!”

The second video featured Cannon walking around a studio presumably to work on new music following the release of his latest single, “Hold On.”

Cannon was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease in March of 2012.
