Odell Beckham Jr: New York Giants star raises fist, pretends to be peeing dog after scores

Sept. 24 (UPI) — Odell Beckham Jr. celebrated multiple scores Sunday, once pretending to be a peeing dog before raising his fist on a second touchdown for the New York Giants.

Beckham’s first score came with 12:39 remaining in the game. He brought in a 10 yard pass from Eli Manning by miraculously pulling in a catch and tapping his feet while getting drilled by a Philadelphia Eagles defender.

After the score, he crawled on the ground, dragging his legs behind his body, before lifting up his right leg imitating an animal urinating.

Beckham came back for another score less than two minutes later when he used his sticky hands to snag a one-handed score on a four-yard pass from Manning. That score tied the game at 14-14.

After raking in those points, Beckham raced to the front of the end zone and held up his right fist. Offensive lineman Weston Richburg then ran up to him to celebrate the score.

The Giants led the Eagles 24-21 at the two-minute warning of the contest at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. The Eagles won 27-24 on a field goal as time expired.

Giants stars Landon Collins, Damon Harrison and Olivier Vernon took knees during the anthem before Sunday’s game. Other Giants players, and coach Ben McAdoo, locked arms on the sideline. Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie stood with his players before the game.

Giants owners John Mara and Steve Tisch issued a statement on President Donald Trump’s remarks on Saturday.

Trump criticized the NFL Friday during a rally in Alabama, saying owners should fire players who protest during the national anthem.

“Comments like we heard last night from the president are inappropriate, offensive and divisive,” Mara and Tisch said in a statement Saturday, according to NFL.com. “We are proud of our players, the vast majority of whom use their NFL platform to make a positive difference in our society.”

Lurie also issued a statement on Saturday, saying that he supports his players.
