One person in critical condition after shots fired at Tennessee mall

May 3 (UPI) — One person was critically injured after shots were fired at a mall in Nashville, Tenn., on Thursday, authorities said.

The Nashville Fire Department said one person was transferred to Skyline Medical Center in critical condition and that there were no other patients on the scene at Opry Mills Mall.

Metro Nashville police said the suspect was taken into custody following a dispute that resulted in gunfire and there was no additional imminent threat known.

Metro dispatch said a call reporting shots fired at the mall came in before 2:30 p.m., the Tennesseean reported.

The nearby Grand Ole Opry house and Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center were placed on lockdown following reports of the shooting.
