‘Red Dead Redemption 2’: Rockstar Games releases second trailer

Sept. 28 (UPI) — Rockstar Games has released the second trailer for its upcoming open-world western sequel, Red Dead Redemption 2.

The clip, released Thursday, features new protagonist Arthur Morgan who is an outlaw working with the Van der Linde gang.

Arthur Morgan is seen in the trailer robbing a train and taking part in other illegal activities across the games new sprawling open world that is filled with open ranges, dense forests and dangerous wildlife including bears and alligators.

“The all-new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive,” reads the synopsis.

Notably, the Van der Linde gang, also known as Dutch’s Gang, was featured in the first Red Dead Redemption with protagonist John Marston who had left the group of criminals. This makes the upcoming second entry a prequel to the original title.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming Spring 2018 for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One after it was delayed from its original Fall 2017 release window.
