Feb. 19 (UPI) — Disney and Pixar released the full trailer for Toy Story 5 on Thursday. The film opens June 19 in theaters.

A teaser in November introduced the Lilypad tablet, voiced by Greta Lee. The full trailer elaborates on Bonnie’s toys, led by Jessie (Joan Cusack), battling the Lilypad for Bonnie’s (Scarlett Spears) attention.

Jessie (Joan Cusack) still communicates with Woody (Tom Hanks) via walkie-talkie. Woody left with Little Bo Peep (Annie Potts) at the end of Toy Story 4, but returns triumphantly to help Bonnie’s toys connect with their child.

Well, somewhat triumphantly. The toys, including Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), mock Woody’s new poncho. Toy Story 4 favorite Forky (Tony Hale) also gets married to a knife (Melissa Villaseñor) in one of Bonnie’s play sequences.

Disney first announced Toy Story 5 in 2024. Allen called it “an amazing experience” in a November Tonight Show appearance.

Voice actors John Ratzenberger, Blake Clark, Wallace Shawn, Kristen Schaal and Keanu Reeves reprise their roles.

Jeff Bergman and Anna Vocino voice Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead following the late Don Rickles and Estelle Harris. Ernie Hudson takes over Combat Carl from the late Carl Weathers.

John Hopkins voices Mr. Pricklepants, taking over from Timothy Dalton.

New voices include Craig Robinson as Atlas, a GPS hippo, Shelby Rabara as a camera named Snappy, Mykal-Michelle Harris as another 8-year-old and Matty Matheson as a toy named Dr. Nutcase.

Andrew Stanton and Kenna Harris co-directed Toy Story 5. Randy Newman returns for the music, and his “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” is heard in the trailer.
