Wisconsin Supreme Court Open Thread

Big Labor has focused buckets of money and manpower on defeating WI Supreme Court Justice David Prosser. They certainly have the advantage. Stay tuned for updates throughout the night. Election results here.

Update: With almost half the vote in, Prosser is up by almost 30,000 votes. Did Big Labor miss?

Update II: Now, with 51% of the vote in, the race is now 50/50. Dems must have just dumped vote totals for their best precincts.

Update III: With around 80% of the vote in, the Union candidate is up almost 18k votes.

Update IV: With 85% of the vote counted, Big Labor’s candidate is up by almost 24k votes. Hopefully, in the future, the national grass roots organizations will stop rallying in DC and focus on these important state battles. Another day…

Update V: With 93% of the vote in, Prosser is up by around 500 votes. Imagine if the energy spent on a DC rally had been applied to Wisconsin. We’ll have an answer to this soon.

Update VI: With 97% of the vote in, Prosser is up almost 2,000 votes. No doubt, Big Labor will whine for a recount. But, it isn’t over yet.

Update VII: We are about to call this race for Prosser. Must suck to be a union boss if true. You risked a huge chunk of your members’ paycheck and came up short. They listen to you for what reason?

Update VII: So, Big Labor came up short on election day. Expect them to rally on absentee ballots. With the millions of dollars they have, you can expect some post-election adjustments.

Update VIII: We won, but now the lawyers come in.
