MSNBC Tries to Shame NRA Into Smart Gun ‘Truce’

On May 22 MSNBC’s Chris Hayes expressed amazement that he has heard no response from the NRA to a smart gun “truce” offered them on May 5.

Hayes exact words:

It has now been 17 days since we first aired our special All In America report on the Armatix smart gun and it’s potential life-saving technology, and the NRA’s efforts to kill it. And it has been 17 days since [New Jersey] Democratic state senator Loretta Weinerg (D-37)…was right here at this desk offering a “truce” to the NRA: offering to help repeal the…[NJ smart gun mandate] if [the NRA] would stop opposing smart gun technology. And it’s been 17 days since we have heard nothing from the National Rifle Association.

On May 13 Breitbart News reported that the Armatix iP1 is a smart gun available only in .22 caliber, which costs $1,800, and which technology companies are already working on ways to jam electronically, so it will not fire.
