Fleischer: Clinton’s Sleazy Rules Circumventing a Security Risk

Wednesday on Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show,” former White House spokesman for President George W. Bush Ari Fleischer said Hillary Clinton using a private email server for all her State Department business exposed the inner workings of the highest levels of our government to our enemies, because a private server system would be easy for any hackers to break into.

Fleischer said, “The sleaziness of this aside, as secretary of state, the fact that you have a government official doing business in a way that was designed to hide their business.” He continued, “There is a real security related issue here. Forget whether they are classified or not, the inner workings of the State Department, through the inner conversations on email back and forth between a secretary of state and her staff, if it’s done on a personal account, I guarantee you China, Russia and Iran have them.”

Adding “You’re circumventing the rules and that’s a real problem when it comes to ethics.”

Making the case the GOP should set aside the question of legality, because “In this case, right and wrong is really where our focus should be. It is wrong for a cabinet secretary to circumvent the laws and rules, whether it’s legal or otherwise, to set their own system of communicating. You don’t do that.”

He concluded, “Any secretary of state who exercised the judgment of allowing Russia, China and Iran to get all her emails—there is a serous question of that person’s judgment.”
