424 Mass Shooting ‘Casualties’ in U.S. Since Obama Took Office, 508 Such ‘Casualties’ in France During Past Year Alone

On December 9 conservative talk radio host Laura Ingram tweeted a quote from John Lott showing that there have been 424 mass shooting “casualties” in the U.S. since Obama took office, but 508 such casualties in heavily gun-controlled France in the past year alone.

Lott is president of the Crime Prevention Research Center.

Ingram tweeted: “”The number of ppl killed by mass shootings during Obama’s tenure is 424 casualties…Paris this year alone has 508 casualties.”

This undercuts the rhetoric of leftists–including President Obama and other Democrats–who constantly tell Americans that “assault weapons” bans, guns storage laws, ammunition storage laws, and expanded background checks with mental and criminal checks are the solutions for a reduction in mass shootings. France has an “assault weapons” ban, gun storage laws, ammunition storage laws, and they require yearly mental and criminal checks–including a doctor’s visit–for gun owners.

France also has one other thing–508 mass shooting “casualties” in the past year alone. Yet Obama often assures his listening audience that the mass shootings that occasionally occur in the US do not happen anywhere else in the world.
