Report: Trump To Name Elaine Chao Transportation Secretary

President-elect Donald Trump will reportedly tap Elaine Chao to be his administration’s transportation secretary. The move is planned for Tuesday afternoon, according to CNN.

Chao is a former labor secretary and is married to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

Chao previously served President George W. Bush as secretary of labor from 2001 to 2009. She also worked as deputy secretary of transportation from 1989 to 1991 for President George H.W. Bush.

The official announcement is anticipated from Trump’s transition team later on Tuesday.
