A waitress at a Washington, D.C., restaurant received a generous tip and a warm message on her receipt from three Trump supporters in town for President Trump’s inauguration.

Rosalynd Harris, a waitress at Busboys and Poets, had just taken part in the Women’s March on Washington two days before, when she met three men who said they were in town for the inauguration, the Washington Post reported.

“I could tell they were from the south because they had their cowboy hats on and I was like, ‘Oh, you’re not from the city,'” Harris said to WUSA.

The men, from West Texas, struck up a conversation with Harris, one of them even complimenting her on her smile.

“It was an interesting situation because it is a Liberal, Democratic kind of feel to the entire Busboys establishment, the people that come in, the people it attracts,” she said.

Harris, who is black, said she prejudged them at first “by instantly assuming they were in town for President Trump’s inauguration by appearance alone.” But what happened next took her by surprise.

After the men left, she found a generous tip and a kind message on the receipt. The men left a $450 tip on a $72.60 bill.

The note read, “We may come from different cultures and may disagree on certain issues, but if everyone would share their smile and kindness like your beautiful smile, our country will come together as one people. Not race. Not gender. Just American. God Bless!”

Harris was overwhelmed by the support, especially since she is a professional dancer who takes extra shifts at the restaurant to make ends meet.

“You automatically assume if someone supports Trump that they have ideas about you, but [the customer is] more embracing than even some of my more liberal friends, and there was a real authenticity in our exchange,” she told the Post.

The Daily Mail reported that Harris will use the money to pay up-front costs for her new apartment.
