Colorado state Senator Ted Harvey, chairman of the Committee to Defend the President, formerly known as the Stop Hillary PAC, told Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Raheem Kassam Monday that he does not believe Green Party candidate Jill Stein would be undertaking the various recount efforts she is “without the help of Hillary Clinton and her campaign efforts and her attorneys helping and advising … all the way along.”
While Harvey conceded that Stein may have begun the effort to raise money and awareness for the Green Party, now, he says, “Hillary Clinton and her campaign have their fingerprints all over it.”
“That is why,” said Harvey, “the Committee to Defend the President, formerly known as the Stop Hillary PAC, has engaged in these lawsuits” to stop the recount.
Harvey’s group is involved in legal efforts in Wisconsin and Michigan to stop the recounts, which they view not only as pointless, but also costly for the taxpayers of those states.
“They’re up to something,” added Harvey, “and I think it’s simply to discredit Trump and discredit his presidency.”
