Jack Hoffman, the eight-year-old cancer patient who scored a memorable touchdown in Nebraska’s spring game, is now reportedly in remission.
Hoffman was fighting pediatric brain cancer, and an MRI recently “revealed that 60 weeks of chemotherapy treatments not only stopped his tumor from growing but also shrank it.”
His father, Andy Hoffman, said he is “cautiously optimistic” the prognosis was the “best possible scenario.”
“We’re so incredibly thankful that the chemo seems to have done its job, and the tumor is stable. Hopefully, it’s knocked out for good,” he told the Omaha World-Herald.
Breitbart Sports’ Mary Chastain reported on Hoffman’s touchdown during the spring game and the video of his touchdown can be seen here.
