The champagne has yet to go stale and already Las Vegas lays odds on next year’s NBA champion.
The bookies give this year’s runner-up the inside track to win next year’s championship. Those odds aren’t odd. Kevin Love says he wants to return and, presumably, both he and Kyrie Irving will play alongside LeBron James in next year’s playoffs. Vegas expects a resurgent Oklahoma City, an out-to-disprove-doubters Chicago, and the defending champs all to make a run, too.
Charlotte? Philadelphia? Minnesota? Orlando? The oddsmakers say it’s safe for their players to book vacations for early June.
