Wild hogs are an ever-multiplying nuisance to farmers and ranchers but they may have met their match with the Pulsar Trail XP50 Thermal Riflescope.

The Trail XP50 lets the hunter see as clearly at midnight as he would beneath the noon-day sun and detects a heat signature up to nearly 2,000 yards away. This means hogs can be spotted and taken out before their numbers increase. It also means farmers and ranchers are saved from the destruction caused by numerous wild hogs.

TWILA reports that the hogs in Louisiana will dig up crops as quickly as they are planted, that they also carry disease and pose a threat with their “razor sharp tusks.” A rancher in West Texas told Breitbart News that he has to kill 70 percent of the wild hog population on his land annually, simply to keep the population from exploding to uncontrollable numbers. If he kills any less than 70 percent the damage done by the animals grows exponentially.

Because of these myriad problems, farmers and ranchers are often more than happy to have hunters come on their land to take out the wild hogs. These hunts frequently occur at night and involve the use of thermal vision.

Breitbart News had to the opportunity to take part in such a hunt on an Oklahoma ranch recently, using the Puslar Trail XP50 Thermal Riflescope:

The Trail XP50 allows the hunter to record his hunts and/or to link to a smart phone and let viewers from a remote location see what the hunter sees through the scope in real time. Heat signature can be switched from dark to light at the touch of a button, and the hunter can easily switch between numerous crosshair configurations.

And the Trail XP50 is not simply for hogs. The thermal riflescope makes rabbit hunting at night possible too:
