Mexico’s famed masked wrestlers may be grounded by the coronavirus, but they aren’t idle, as some are now pumping out Luchadore-themed medical masks.

Famed for wearing colorful masks in the wrestling ring, Mexico’s Luchadores are doing their part to help fans get through the coronavirus crisis, the BBC noted.

When retired wrestler Isaias Huerta was told by the government that he could not keep his costume shop open during the virus, the wrestler decided to switch gears from producing wrestling finery to making medical masks bedazzled with Luchadore themes.

“I’ve always loved talking about wrestling, so much so that I started sewing costumes for my teammates,” Huerta told the media. “And now it led me to come up with the idea of wrestler masks.”

The enterprising former Luchadore once known as El Gato Gris says he sells the masks for 50 pesos each (About $2).

Huerta is not alone. Luchadore El Hijo de Sobrerano is also doing his part for the health scare.

“Last week, we had a very difficult time and my wife says to me, ‘Why don’t we make face masks?'” El Hijo told ESPN.

For his part, El Hijo says he is selling his Blue Demon and El Santo masks for 150 pesos (about $6).
