Heroes of Umpqua: Unarmed Vet Shot 7 Times While Saving Students, Armed Vet Told to Stand Down

Let’s talk about the heroes of Umpqua instead of the psychotic killer. 30-year-old Army veteran Chris Mintz was shot seven times by the killer as he struggled to protect students. His aunt Sheila Brown told NBC News he served 10 years in the military, and had just started classes at the college. She also said he was on the wrestling team and had experience as a cage fighter. Several sources say Mintz was stationed at Fr. Lewis in Washington, and was deployed during his Army service.

Gay Air Force Officer Publicly Criticizes Ted Cruz, Commander, and Sergeant in Apparent Violation of Military Rules

The Air Force confirms to Breitbart News that Lt. Col. Liz Valenzuela, a gay active duty officer at the center of a controversial case of religious liberty in the military, did not receive approval from her superiors prior to making public comments to Slate Magazine last month critical of Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), as well as her former commander, Col. Deborah Liddick, and a retired non-commissioned officer formerly under her command, Master Sergeant Phillip Monk.

US, UK Air Forces Cancel July 4 Plans Amid Terror Threat

A joint July 4 celebration that was scheduled to take place between U.S. and UK military personnel and their families at Britain’s largest U.S. air force base has been canceled, military officials announced Thursday, citing “the most current, local threat assessments.”
