Report: Amazon Plans to Censor More Sites from Cloud Hosting

Reuters reports that tech and e-commerce giant Amazon plans to take a more active approach to censoring what it considers rule violating content from its cloud hosting service. Websites and apps that rely on Amazon hosting will be forced to find another host or disappear from the internet. Amazon currently holds 40 percent of the cloud hosting market.

Amazon Moves into the Business of Elections

Amazon is reportedly making an aggressive push into the business side of state and local elections. Since the 2016 election, more than 40 states are using one or more of Amazon’s services for elections.

Amazon Hits Earnings Record, But Stock Tanks

Amazon set a quarterly earnings record of $1 a share on $35.7 billion in sales last quarter, but traders sent the stock plunging over 7% Friday after the e-commerce company missed Wall Street’s earnings estimates by 36 percent.
