Turkey: Family Rejects Body of Russian Ambassador Assassin

The body of the Turkish policeman who shouted “Allahu Akbar” after shooting and killing the Russian ambassador to Turkey last month remains unclaimed. His family has refused to accept his remains, the state-run Anadolu Agency has learned from judicial sources.

U.S.-Russia Talks Over Syria on Brink of Collapse

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Negotiations between America and Russia over the future of the nearly six-year-old civil war in Syria are on “life support,” says a U.S. State Department spokesman, as the two nations continue to spar over the future of war-ravaged Aleppo, blaming one another for the ongoing chaos and carnage in the city.
