The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) has gained access to radioactive material from hospital and research centers in territory it has seized in Iraq and Syria, prompting fears that it could develop a large “dirty” bomb, Australia’s Foreign Minister Julie Bishop told The Australian.

Mexican Authorities Recover Stolen Radioactive Material

Mexican authorities have recovered a piece of radioactive equipment that had been stolen out of a pickup truck in the state of Tabasco. This is the fourth time that radioactive material from X-ray machines has been stolen in Mexico.
