A student at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, has filed a lawsuit that claims he was put in “solitary confinement” after he was accused of “unwanted kissing” by a peer. The student claims that he was forced to live in a small, confined, room immediately after he was accused of the misconduct.

According to a report by the College Fix, a student at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, claims that he was placed into “solitary confinement” at the outset of a Title IX investigation into an alleged act of “unwanted kissing.” The student claims that his accuser actually initiated the “unwanted kissing.”

The student, who has remained anonymous and is referred to as John Doe in legal proceedings, claims that he was removed from his dorm room at the outset of the investigation and placed in a small, moldy apartment that did not have laundry facilities or internet connection. Moreover, he was not permitted to have visitors unless he received approval from university officials in the Title IX office. Now, the student is suing the university for compensatory and emotional damages.

“Immediately after the female student stated she wanted to pursue an investigation, the university evicted Doe from his dorm room based on nothing more than a meritless allegation, and without providing Doe any due process . . . and the opportunity to be heard,” the lawsuit reads. “Furthermore, Doe was placed in solitary confinement in a moldy apartment, and was informed that he could not have any visitors without approval from the Title IX office.”

Breitbart News has reported extensively on Title IX investigations on campuses around the country. In March, Breitbart News reported that Williams College suspended a male student over his decision not to pursue a relationship with a peer after they had kissed on a first date.
