Fallon Turns Left — Takes Jab at 'Khaki-palooza' CPAC, Republicans in Opening Monologue

For his opening jokes of NBC’s Thursday broadcast of “The Tonight Show,” host Jimmy Fallon took a couple of jabs at the Conservative Political Action Conference underway at National Harbor outside of Washington, D.C.

“Well here’s what everyone’s talking about – a big day for Republicans,” Fallon said. “They came from all over the country to Washington, D.C. today for the start of the Conservative Political Action Conference, otherwise known as ‘khaki-palooza.’”

“I thought this was great,” he continued. “Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell kicked off the conference – this is true – he walked on stage with a rifle, while Bon Jovi’s ‘Living on a Prayer’ played in the background. Then his wife was like, ‘No more Nyquil for you, mister.’”
