Thursday on CNN’s “New Day,” host Brooke Baldwin asked the Pentagon’s press secretary Rear Adm. John Kirby what worried them most about Iraq falling into chaos as al-Qaeda fighters sweep through northern Iraq toward Baghdad.
Kirby replied that it was “not so much worry,” but more a “sustained focus” on the “threat of extremism,” which he said was “not only in Iraq.”
