Monday on MSNBC’s “Now with Alex Wagner,” Reason magazine editor-in-chief Matt Welch attacked Republican presidential candidate and billionaire business mogul Donald Trump for his speech on Saturday in Arizona.
“It was the worst political speech I’ve seen in my life,” he said. “Not the worst. I mean Zell Miller was the worst. Donald Trump wad the dumbest. It was just stupid. He said the U.S. is blocking Syrian Christian refugees from coming to this country. Talked about it for minutes. Just totally not true.”
“Some people, and I were at a libertarian-ish conference called FreedomFest,” he added. “So there was libertarians and conservatives there. They were cheering as he said things like what Mexico is doing just like Fidel Castro only more sophisticated. He said he goings to win a majority of Hispanics after all this rape talk because they know he will bring the jobs back from China and people were like yeah.”
