Just ask Duke football walk-on Danny Doyle.

During a team meeting this week, the junior defensive end learned in front of teammates that he was the new recipient of a football scholarship after head coach David Cutcliffe received a phone call from Doyle’s parents.

Upon hearing the news, Doyle’s teammates erupted with cheers and applause.
