On Monday’s broadcast of “CNN Newsroom,” anchor Brooke Baldwin said that Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton criticized Benghazi victim Sean Smith’s mother Patricia, and that it’s “fair” to offer equal criticism of Clinton and Trump for their treatment of grieving families.

Baldwin pointed out that Clinton has been criticized by Smith, and that Clinton responded to Smith by saying that she was “absolutely wrong.”

Later, during an interview with Smith, Baldwin added, “I wanted to have you on because I think it is absolutely fair to criticize — equal criticism of both…Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.”
