Eric Trump: Democrats Have Taken African-American Community ‘Largely for Granted’

During Sunday’s New York AM 970 radio show “The Cats Roundtable,” Eric Trump doubled down on his father’s pitch to African-American voters, telling host John Catsimatidis that Donald Trump plans to fix the lack of higher-level education, the unemployment rate and lack of opportunities for the younger members of inner city minorities.

“You have a lot of people from inner cities, especially minorities, who aren’t getting higher-level education. The schools around them are totally failing them. There’s 60 percent unemployment in some of these communities. We’re not giving the youth the opportunities they so rightfully deserve. My father’s going to focus on that, and he’s going to change that. And he’s going to fix it because it’s just not right,” Eric Trump stated.

“The Democratic Party has really, not only failed them — in terms of not only putting in good policies and not helping some of those communities — but the Democratic Party has really taken that community largely for granted,” he went on to say.
