Behar: Comey’s Actions Mean We Are No Longer the Best Democracy in the World

Monday on ABC’s “The View,” while reacting to FBI Director James Comey announcing after a review of emails found on Anthony Weiner’s laptop, the FBI’s July conclusion that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will not be charged with a crime has not changed, co-host Joy Behar said she was “frightened” by Comey’s actions because “it means we are no longer just the best democracy in the world.”

Behar said, “Didn’t it frighten you when the FBI just stuck its two cents into this election. That to me it means we are no longer just the best democracy in the world. Now we have the FBI sticking its two cents into the election. They’re supposed to be an objective body. That frightened me because that’s like we’re not the American — — the United States of America is no longer going to be the great country that it was.”
