Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” former Reagan administration official and conservative commentator Linda Chavez said in light of allegations of an affair with a porn star, the ‘hypocrisy” of President Donald Trump’s Christian base” that continue to support Trump was “rampant.”
Chavez said, “What is really astounding about this, is his Christian base wants to look the other way, wants to pretend that nothing ever happened or that he’s a changed man. That somehow he’s had a ‘come to Jesus moment.”
She added, “Of course, we’ve never seen any evidence of that, perhaps they have. I find it astounding and frankly, the hypocrisy is just rampant.”
