The security of our nation is in danger as a direct result of the policies, ideology, and affiliations of our president. Those who clamor for socialism despite its miserable track record invariably defend it by saying it simply wasn’t implemented correctly. Perhaps those relying exclusively on historical accounts warrant a pass in light of a dynamic taking place between Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton right now.
Back in April, the Los Angeles Times published the results of a poll that showed support for Hillary rising and support for Obama falling among voters. That trend appears to be continuing. Inherent in these numbers is a contingent of people who jumped the Obama ship and have swum over to Hillary’s.
At least those who call for socialism while never having experienced it have a built-in excuse; they never experienced it.
Not so for the Obamatons turned Clintonistas. Both call Chicago home. Hillary was born there and Obama’s political career was launched there – in the home of Bill Ayers to be exact. Rodham became radicalized while at Wellesley College and was influenced heavily by the work of a Marxist / Maoist and leader of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), Carl Oglesby. SDS was also the group from which Bill Ayers split to form the Weather Underground.
How about Obama’s ideological hero, Saul Alinsky? While Obama never met Alinsky, he was mentored by his proteges. Unlike Obama, Hillary not only met Alinsky but she interviewed him for her senior thesis at Wellesley. At one point, he offered her a job with his Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) – a job she ultimately declined, though ostensibly not for lack of reverence for uncle Saul or his work.
Obama didn’t decline the opportunity to work with Gamaliel and IAF; David Moberg wrote in 2007:
Gerald Kellman, who first recruited Obama, taught him the basics, and he also learned from organizing trainers associated with the Gamaliel Foundation and the Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF). Both organize community groups, primarily religious congregations, and trace their lineage to Saul Alinsky.
One of the biggest scandals of the Obama administration has to do with a voter intimidation case involving the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) in which white voters were caught on video being intimidated by NBPP members. Eric Holder’s Justice Department dismissed the case after winning a default judgment. Interestingly, Hillary landed a job as an intern in 1972 working for a Stalinist attorney allegedly due, in part, to her work coming to the defense of multiple Black Panthers.
On April 16th, 2008 a debate took place between Obama and Clinton. The subject of Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground came up. Hillary pointed to Obama’s affiliations and Obama responded by pointing to the commuted sentences of two Weather Underground terrorists – Linda Evans and Susan Rosenberg – with the stroke of her husband’s pen.
During that debate, Obama attempted to portray that act as “slightly more significant” than his affiliations with Ayers. Yet, after the 2008 election, Obama hired Eric Holder as top man of the Department of Justice; Holder was instrumental in the release of both Evans and Rosenberg as Deputy Attorney General. At the very least, Obama promoted him in spite of those commutations. Ditto with regard to Holder’s role in the Marc Rich pardon and the FALN terrorist commutations.
Additionally, Barack Obama’s ties to ACORN are well documented and rather extensive but Hillary was endorsed by an ACORN front group – Working Families Party (WFP) – in her 2000 election campaign for the New York Senate. Not only was she endorsed by them but she also ran on the WFP party ticket in New York.
A familiar name to those who have followed the ACORN scandal is Bertha Lewis, former Executive Director. During the Hillary for Senate campaign in 2000, Lewis was the WFP co-chair as well as the New York ACORN Executive Director.
The following quote is attributed to Lewis in the days before Hillary’s victory in 2000:
“Hillary knows that if she wins, we’re going to be knockin’ on her door. She won’t be able to hide.”
On a related note, Hillary’s then Finance Director, David Rosen sent a fax to Stan Lee Media on August 24th, 2000 requesting $100,000 in the form of a stock transfer to WFP. Working Families reportedly received slightly over half of the requested amount. The leaglity of such a request is beyond suspect. Here is Page 1 of the fax and here is Page 2.
As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is inextricably linked to the decision to name Arizona in the report to the U.N. Human Rights Council releative to SB 1070. Her refusal to either disallow this egregious act or step down necessarily means she’s complicit. She is an active participant in harming our national security as a result.
Now there is talk that Obama’s chances of being re-elected in 2012 increase with Hillary as his running mate. There are also indications that Hillary could beat him in a rematch of the 2008 campaign for the Democratic nomination.
Why?
The only thing more inexplicable than an individual who calls for socialism without having experienced it is someone who wants more of it while simultaneously being miserable because of it.
