CA Gives Free Cellphones, Service to Homeless

For years, the left has claimed that the impoverished should be provided free phone service in order to enable them to apply for jobs and receive callbacks. But now the state of California is going even further, granting homeless people and low-earners free cellphones and service.

How much service? 250 minutes and 250 text messages. It is unlikely that the bulk of those minutes and texts will actually be used for job searching. The federal government will pay for part of the program.
