Spitzer Knocks Weiner for Being a Bad Husband
Disgraced former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer thinks New York City mayoral candidate and former Rep. Anthony Weiner is a terrible husband for allowing his wife, Huma Abedin, on the campaign trail while Weiner defends himself in yet another sexting scandal.
Spitzer, who himself is trying to make a political comeback by running for New York City comptroller, has kept his wife off the trail. Spitzer resigned in disgrace after he was caught soliciting prostitutes. His wife is rumored to be preparing to file for divorce after the campaign.
“Regarding (Silda’s) appearances on the campaign trail, no husband would ask his wife and family to step into the media frenzy surrounding the campaign at this time,” Spitzer spokeswoman Lisa Linden said, according to the New York Daily News.
