Democrat MO Gov Blasts 'Over-Militarization' of Police, Then Orders in Military

Democratic Missouri Governor Jay Nixon (D-MO) said on Sunday he was “thunderstruck” by the “over-militarization” of the police in responding to the Ferguson riots and looting. Hours later, he ordered in the U.S. military in the form of the National Guard.

The striking contradiction is heightened by the fact that the Obama White House says it had no clue Nixon planned to bring in the National Guard.

“Folks didn’t know,” an Obama administration official told BuzzFeed. “The White House did not know they were sending it in.”

Obama is in the middle of a two-week vacation at the $12 million, 17-room mansion of a Democratic Party fundraiser wherein, according to ABC News, he has played 29.5 hours of golf, attended a Democratic fundraiser, partied at a birthday bash, spent 6.5 hours on the beach, and attended a jazz concert on Sunday.

According to Gallup, Obama’s job approval stands at just 41%
