Forget 12 Days of Christmas, Moms Demand Action Launches ’12 Days of Kroger’

In an ongoing campaign to shame Kroger grocery stores into barring law-abiding citizens from openly carrying guns for self-defense, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in American has launched the “12 Days of Kroger.”

This campaign targets Kroger, Fred Meyer, and Harris Teeter grocers, and comes after all three restated their commitment to their current gun policies–policies that allow customers to carry guns openly in states and municipalities where the open carry of firearms is legal.

So Moms Demand Action is exchanging “12 Days of Christmas” for the “12 Days of Kroger.” This means the “three french hens” are to be replaced by the three grocers in which law-abiding citizens cannot defend themselves.

Of course criminals would still be armed, but that is not part of the equation. The goal of the campaign is to find some way to get three reluctant grocers to fall in line and  force law-abiding citizens to leave their guns at home or in the car.
