Maher Attacks Romney's Children, Calls Them 'Shiny,' 'Remarkably Life-Like'
The Left and the Right see eye to eye on very little these days. But they typically agree, on paper, that the children of politicians are off limits.
HBO personality Bill Maher clearly didn't get the memo.
One week after Maher said Ann Romney had "never gotten her ass out of the house to work" he turned his sights on the Romney children. On Friday's "Real Time with Bill Maher," the host attempted to defend his callous slam against Ann Romney. Naturally, the results were more of the same.
And I'm not attacking Ann Romney. She's brought up five very shiny and remarkably lifelike boys.
Had a comedian taken on Malia and Sasha Obama in such a fashion, even a worldwide apology tour might not be enough to halt the career damage.
But this is Maher being Maher, trashing his ideological opponents and their innocent loved ones. And the saddest part of all is hearing Maher's sycophantic crowd applauding his "laugh" line.
