TNT's Pro-Military 'Last Ship' Boasts Biggest Cable Series Debut of 2014

TNT's The Last Ship, an action-packed, pro-military series from producer Michael Bay, scored huge ratings during its Sunday night debut.

The raw numbers--5.3 million viewers--gave it the biggest cable series debut of 2014.

The show follows a Navy ship on a mission to find a cure for a virus which has wiped out most of the population. The show stars Eric Dane, Adam Baldwin and Rhona Mitra.

The series enjoyed the cooperation of the U.S. Navy and relied on Naval experts to lend the production an authentic spirit.
