Despite Show Cancellation, Piers Morgan Staying on at CNN for Interviews

Although his primetime show is canceled, Piers Morgan announced he will be staying on with CNN to do “big name” interviews.

According to Showbiz 411, Morgan “will make a deal to do 20 to 25 shows a year, all interviews with big names.” Morgan said, “That’s what I wanted to do all along. Not reports on snow storms and that kind of thing.”

He said he has no idea what kind of show will replace his canceled primetime gig. But he did acknowledge once more that his relentless campaign for gun control was like “beating [his] head against a wall.”

On February 23rd, Breitbart News reported CNN president Jeffrey Zucker was “[pulling] the plug” on Piers Morgan Live due to miserably low ratings and a failure to connect with audiences. At that time, Morgan admitted his gun control rants contributed to his show’s demise.
