Exclusive Video: Actor Restrained by Passengers After Threatening Behavior
Several passengers aboard a United Airlines flight from Chicago to Orange County, CA had to restrain an unruly passenger who was harassing, intimidating, and frightening passengers Tuesday night.
Actor/model Ash Durrani (also known as Arash Durrani) was seen drinking several glasses of alcohol and taking pills before he began his bizarre behavior.
"He grabbed my hair and lifted my head up and said, 'I want to kiss you,'" said Nona Pitts, owner of Salon 5150 in Brea, CA. "He was very intoxicated and the stewardess was giving him bottles of Jack Daniels on the rocks," she continued.
"I told her he needs water to hydrate, not more alcohol, but she did not listen, and as a result seven male passengers had to restrain him for over two hours til we landed in OC where we were questioned by FBI til 1am."
Pitts provided this video of the incident exclusively to Breitbart News:
In the video, a man is heard screaming, "Ow, help me! Please help me! They're hurting me, I can't breathe!" The rest of the passengers then begin applauding.
Durrani, an Afghan-American born in Virginia, told Pitts he was the son of an Afghan diplomat to the United States, but this information could not be confirmed at press time.
According to Pitts, after Durrani began harassing and trying to kiss her, "he then began pacing up and down the aisle of the plane challenging the other passengers to try to stop him. Luckily, there were several men on the flight he confronted him in the aisle, restrained him and tied him up with their belts."
According to the Orange County Register, the passengers held Durrani down for the remainder of the four-hour flight.
FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller identified the man as Arash Durrani, 26, who may have residences in both Virginia and California. Eimiller said Durrani will be charged with interference with a flight crew, a federal offense.
