Report: Hacker Shares Benghazi Memos Sent to Hillary's Email

A report indicates that the email of Hillary Clinton’s “longtime confidant” Sidney Blumenthal has been hacked and memos relating to the 2012 terrorist attack on a U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya have been compromised.

The hacker, who goes by the name “Guccifer,” has apparently distributed four memos from Blumenthal to Clinton.

The report claims the hacker sent the memos to hundreds of people. Each one “dealt with assorted developments in Libya, including the September 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.” One of the emails was originally sent to Clinton with the subject line “Confidential” on the day after the attack–Sept. 12.

Guccifer reportedly sent the memos to hundreds of individuals, mostly U.S-affiliated, including members of Congress. The recipients also include individuals and outlets with Russian affiliations.

Guccifer has allegedly previously hacked Colin Powell, various members of the Bush family, and U.N. Under-Secretary-General Joseph Verner Reed.
