WATCH: Galloway Interviewed By Police Despite Belligerent Speech Claiming Opposite

George Galloway MP, leader of the Respect party has been questioned by police under caution after he declared Bradford an “Israel free zone” and then claimed that the police had not contacted him.

Breitbart London understand that the belligerent Galloway – who as well as being a Member of the British Parliament works for the Iranian state-funded Press TV – has dismissed being questioned for inciting racial hatred as “a monumental – and monumentally expensive – waste of police time”, reports the Guardian.

But West Yorkshire Police’s District Commander has stated that once enquiries are completed the matter will be referred to the Criminal Prosecution Service, meaning that Galloway could face charges in line with a public petition that has now been signed by nearly 19,000 people.

A video obtained by Breitbart London shows a gloating Galloway in front of a “Free Gaza” march crowd last week claiming: “I haven’t been arrested. I haven’t been imprisoned. In fact the police haven’t even telephoned me…”

The District Commander for Leeds, Chief Superintendent Paul Money, told Breitbart London :”A 59 year old man has been interviewed under caution voluntarily following complaints made about the content of a speech given in Leeds earlier this month. Once enquiries are completed the matter will be referred to the Crown Prosecution Service for their consideration.”

Galloway was recorded in a YouTube video on August 2nd addressing a Respect party rally in Leeds where he declared Bradford an Israeli citizen & produce free zone. In a typically bombastic tone Galloway called upon the audience, which he addressed in a mixture of English and Arabic to “reject this illegal, barbarous savage state that calls itself Israel. And you have to do the same”.

This is far from the first time the Bradford MP has courted controversy over his very public distaste for Israel and Israelis. Galloway stormed out of a debate at an Oxford college last year upon realising he was sharing a platform for debate with an Israeli citizen, remarking “I don’t recognise Israel” as he walked out of the lecture theatre door.
