Fears of More Radicalised Children as 'Trojan Horse 2' Scandal Emerges in London

A new wave of British schools are thought to have fallen victim to Islamist extremists trying to radicalise children, a report in today’s Sunday Times suggests.

Department for Education officials are said to have become increasingly concerned over a ‘Trojan Horse 2’ scandal which they believe could involve dozens of schools in East London, including in the Borough of Tower Hamlets, known for its Islamist-linked Mayor Lutfur Rahman.

The Times reports:

Emergency inspections of 21 schools in the city by the schools regulator Ofsted resulted in five schools being placed in special measures.

“Tower Hamlets is expected to be the next Birmingham, but even worse, because the problems surrounding Muslim fundamentalists imposing their views on education seem to be more embedded,” said a senior Whitehall source.

Both secular state schools and private Islamic schools are under suspicion, and there are concerns that non-Muslim teachers are staying silent for fear of losing their jobs.

“The DfE will rely on whistleblowers to come forward about non-Muslim teachers being sidelined by Muslim fundamentalists in the borough,” the source said. “But potential whistleblowers fear they may be bullied, further sidelined or fired if they raise concerns.”

Allegations about the imposition of extreme views in Tower Hamlets classrooms come as Ofsted prepares to publish the findings of emergency inspections of 40 schools in England in the past fortnight.

In an interview with The Sunday Times, Sir Michael Wilshaw, the chief inspector of schools, warned: “The problems in Birmingham are far from resolved.”

Highly Muslim populated areas such as Birmingham, Bradford, and East London have been the targets of radicalisation for some time now, though the depths to which the Islamists have plumbed in order to radicalise children is only just becoming apparent.

Earlier this year, Breitbart London exclusively reported on numerous incidences of potential electoral fraud in Tower Hamlets. The Islamist-linked mayor Lutfur Rahman has a budget of over £1bn open to him, which is he believed to have used to help Muslim-run charities and organisations in the borough.
