Bubba Watson Buys Tiger's Infamous Mansion
Carefree golfer Bubba Watson purchased Tiger Woods's infamous mansion he once shared with his former wife Elin Nordegren.
Woods's former house is in Orlando's gated Isleworth community. It is at that house where Nordegren reportedly intercepted a text message from one of Woods's many mistresses during Thanksgiving weekend in 2009. Minutes after, Woods crashed his car into a fire hydrant. After women came out of the woodwork after the incident, Woods's life and golf game completely fell apart and he has not won a major since.
Watson and his wife recently was finally able to adopt a child after years of being unsuccessful.
The 2012 Masters champion who never took a golf lesson and eccentrically swings a pink driver, told Golf.com he "looked at probably 50 houses before I looked at Tiger's."
"A lot of the houses there are old, and we ended up changing everything," Watson said.
Watson, who will move in next week, said he also did considerable remodeling.
"We probably saved maybe five percent of it. We built it all around Caleb. There are like three playrooms."
