Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant and other athletes from or with ties to Oklahoma expressed support for the victims of the devastating tornado that hit Moore, Oklahoma on Monday. At least 50 people have been reported dead.
Durant tweeted that he was praying for the victims. NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, whose wife is from Oklahoma, said he was thinking of everyone in the state and thanked fans for their concern about his wife’s family.
Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker, who is from Oklahoma, also tweeted his thoughts and prayers, as did former Oklahoma football players DeMarco Murray and Gerald McCoy.
